Join the Board

We are a fun and diverse group of individuals who have adopted the theme of Hikes, History, and Horses as the driver in the work we do for Huddart and Wunderlich Parks. Since its inception in 2002, the Friends have:

  • Successfully placed the Stable and four other structures in Wunderlich Park on the National Register of Historic Places

  • Spearheaded a capital campaign that resulted in the restoration of the historic Folger Estate Stable

  • Created a museum that focuses on the history of the region

  • Raised funds for trail improvements in both parks

  • Managed the school field trip programs at both parks.

We have plans for many more programs and projects and need the help of interested individuals to join our Board of Directors in order to realize our goals.

The Board of Directors meets once a month and members serve on one committee, such as Events, Programs or Finance and Governance.
