COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT

In the interest of public safety, our programs and events are cancelled until further notice from local public health officials. If you are missing nature and want some inspiration, check out our collection of interesting nature videos, websites, etc here. If you are missing horses and history, check out our interesting equestrian resources here. For updates on park closures and rules for recreating in the parks, please see the SMC Parks advisory site here. We miss our volunteers and program participants very much and are looking forward to engaging people with Hikes, History and Horses sometime soon, even if it looks very different. If you can support the Friends while our ability to fundraise is limited, we very much appreciate your support and you can donate here. To see what your dollars support, check out our 2019 Year in Review.

guided hikes

Docents can provide guided hikes in either park for groups of four or more upon request. Hikers can learn about the flora, fauna and/or history of the parks.

The Folger Stable Speaker Series features a wide range of interesting talks for the public to enjoy.

Join us for upcoming events and programs in the parks.
