Welcome to The Friends of Huddart And Wunderlich Parks

The Friends of Huddart and Wunderlich Parks is a group of park enthusiasts and stewards who provide a wide range of programs and events in two historic redwood parks in the heart of the Bay Area. We lead hikes, provide environmental education, showcase local history, and celebrate the unique horse heritage of San Mateo County.

Big Bad Barn Dance!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for the Big Bad Barn Dance this past August. You all helped raise more than $50k for our Hike, History and Horse programs in the parks! We are so grateful for your generosity, support for our vision and mission and love for our parks!

Ranger Residence Rehab

Help us rehabilitate this trailer at Wunderlich Park so a ranger can live onsite. Having a Ranger Residence will enhance visitor and park safety. Onsite rangers can respond to overnight emergencies, potential fires, or emergencies with the horses that live onsite. Ranger Residences provide affordable housing for our hard working rangers and enhances Parks ability to recruit the best staff. An added bonus is that rehabilitating this trailer will make a significant aesthetic improvement to the beautiful Folger Historic District. This work is being done by County Parks staff to ensure that it is an affordable and fast rehabilitation project. Join us today with your designated donation.
