Youth History and Horse Program

Learn about the unique history in your own backyard! Enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent 1905 Folger Estate Stable and historic district including carriage house, dairy house, stone walls, and a visit to the Carriage Room Museum at Wunderlich Park.

Take a step back in time with a walking tour followed by a history scavenger hunt and visit to the Carriage Room Museum that showcases the story of the Folger Coffee family an the rich history of Woodside and the surrounding area. Exhibits include a life-size replica of a blacksmith shop, original 19th-century carriages, and an expose on local logging of the redwoods.

You will also visit Lightning the mini horse and learn the basics of grooming and leading a horse on a walk. Learn some fun horse facts and safety and trail etiquette from our favorite equine.
