FEATURING LISA ROBINSON
President, San Lorenzo Valley History Museum

FREE tickets: www.logging.eventbrite.com

During the early 1850s, the redwood forests surrounding the community of Woodside were alive with lumbermen hoping to “strike it rich.” A “timber beast” had to possess tremendous grit to fell the world’s tallest trees with almost no mechanical equipment. Learn the whole story when you join the Friends of Huddart and Wunderlich Parks November 12 at 3:00 P.M. for the Folger Stable Speaker Series featuring local historian Lisa Robinson. The talk will be followed by a redwood shingling demonstration by Lud McCrary of Big Creek Lumber Company and a preview of the new logging exhibit in the Carriage Room Museum.

Many thanks for funding for the new exhibit to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors providing Measure K Funds, the Hurlbut Johnson Charitable Trust, and Elizabeth Folger.
